HMT in the Community; raising money for the Rivertime Boat Trust
During 2023/24 HMT has chosen to work with local Henley-on-Thames charity, The Rivertime Boat Trust.
The Rivertime Boat Trust is an award winning charity that offers disabled and disadvantaged adults, children and young people trips along the Thames on its wheelchair accessible passenger boat.
The HMT team are raising money for the Trust by “virtually” walking the Thames Path, which stretches 298KM from its source in the Cotswolds, through Oxford, Reading, Henley and Windsor to London and the end of the path at Woolwich.
If we individually walked the Thames Path itself, we would collectively cover 6,556 KM and our fundraising target is therefore £6,556. We will each be logging the KM we walk or run each week and tracking our collective progress, with virtual check-ins at key beauty spots or places of interest on the way.
